From this June, a new publication will be appearing in university campuses. Not just another lifestyle/music/fashion mag, FS Magazine instead celebrates the best of student journalism.

Working in partnership with student newspapers and websites at the top 30 UK universities, FS Magazine scours the university media to find the real gems of student writing and photography.

The reader can enjoy glimpses into the most interesting campus news, and access the most fascinating features, insightful interviews and the funniest, most resonant columns produced by the student press, all packaged in a quirkily designed, glossy magazine.

The magazine has already proved popular with students across the UK. As Gemma Davies, editor of The Courier, Newcastle's student paper, says: “FS magazine has been a big hit… Students have been waiting a long time for this”.

The inaugural issue ‘Issue 0’ had a print run of 35,000, set to rise to 75,000 from October 2008. The free publication will be distributed to the majority of the top 30 universities as from October, and promises to continue to capture the variety and quality of the vibrant student media and remain an exceptionally good read.

FS Magazine was born from Flisolo.com, the comprehensive information and entertainment resource for students which already provides readers with news from more than 15 student newspapers. Both publications are edited by a graduate with huge experience in the world of student media, having herself been editor of the Warwick Boar while at university.

Both flisolo.com and FS Magazine are unique in their field, and provide a service which is greatly in demand among the student population.
