Journalists and Reviewers

Flisolo.com is looking for journalists looking to build up a nationally recognized portfolio to contribute news, features and reviews.

There is a great deal of flexibility on what you can submit- whether it be an article based on a personal experience, or a hot issue you’ve been influenced by. Once submitted, your work will rub shoulders with that of professional journalists, so quality of content is paramount. Our aim is simple: to be the no. 1 source of knowledge for students.

You’ll also be able to publicise yourself through the online user page- allowing to link to your articles and advertise your achievements; from tipping number 1 in the ‘Most Read’ or ‘Most Commented’ category, to writing for another publication, filming a short for the Wiki or even organising a charity bazaar.

This will provide the ability to get your portfolio cropping up in the Google rankings; an asset for any aspiring journalist.

The site is initially being piloted at the University of Warwick, but will be expanding nationally in 2008.

Project Stiki- your student Wiki

Imagine what it would be able have a clear idea of what decisions you want to make- on accommodation, on events, on everything. Imagine if you could trust one source to reliably give you all you need to know.

The Stiki is designed to be one such place; a platform for students to generate and iterate knowledge through consensus. For the first time, students will be able give an honest analysis of their courses, their departments and anything else that they want to tell others about.

All students should participate, whether through reading articles they have a view on and contributing through the ‘talk’ pages, through being the first to create an article for others to run from, through creating a user homepage containing information on yourself, or through pulling out that video of an event you’ve managed; the Stiki can get you, your interests and your involvements recognised. conatct us if you want to know more.

Journalists will be continually monitoring Stiki content so if your entry sounds interesting, there could be an opportunity to work with professional journalists to generate a feature on it.
